These directions are for those working in Power Point.  If you are working in Keynote, the directions will be different.

1. Choose ONE slide from your bad Power Point that you want to make good.  You will correct this slide.

2. Make a new copy of your presentation - Go to FILE, SAVE AS and save it as "GOOD Pres- Your Name".  Save it to the desktop.

3. Decide which slide you want to fix in the Good Presenation.

4. In the Good Presentation - delete the slides you do not want to fix.  Go to EDIT, DELETE SLIDE.

5. At this point you should only have one bad slide in the GOOD presentation.

6. Make a duplicate of that slide.  Go to INSERT, DUPLICATE SLIDE.

7. You should have a 2 copies of your bad slide in the GOOD presentation..

8. Correct the SECOND slide in the GOOD Presentation.  Do not correct the first slide in the GOOD presentation.  This slide should be left as “bad” for comparison to the corrected, good slide.

9. Print your slides (2 on one page). Use arrows and words to point out corrections on the slides with a pen or pencil.

10. Answer this quesiton on the back of your paper:

What do you think is the hardest "rule" to follow when making a presentation?

Explain why you think this.  Be detailed!

IMPORTANT: Your final product should be a Power Point that contains 2 slides – one bad slide, and one corrected good slide.
